A Book? Never Heard Of It

Now, I know many of you don't like reading, but why not? It's one of the many wonders of the world. A way you can explore without moving an inch, without spending so much. You can seek for new discoveries with just the imagination of you, whatever that may be. One new book is one new adventure. Go from here, to here right on your own bed! From experience, finding a good book to read is difficult. You just need to know what you like otherwise, how do you get through life? Know what you want. Life is that simple. Finding a great book is even more simple. I don't have a favorite author, but a favorite book? Fahrenheit 451 . Now, that's what you call an awesome book. It explores a new dystopian society. Well, not new new , most of us have thought about this before, but this book might have just painted the perfect picture of a world without books; a world where the only information you obtain is from an electronic device. In this wor

Conformity

Conformity . You don't hear that word that often. It just means that sometimes we try to be someone that we aren't and a lot of the times it interferes with the development of our identities. Which is weird because it's our identity, hence the our . It makes us go from this, to this. But, on the inside we feel like this, Now if you've ever watched the movie ¨Dead Poets Society¨, then you'll know that movie is all about conformity. I do recommend watching that amazing movie, by the way. The society around us affects everything we do, including how we think and how we conform . We conform to try to ¨fit in¨, when we feel left out. Trying to change something about ourselves to seem more likable to the group that rejects us. That doesn't help our identity in any but one way; it helps us bring out the better in ourselves, to find who we really are. Finding who we are makes us feel less lost in life, although we will always find somethin

Con Man or Not?

I'm sure you've heard of con men & thieves; liars, essentially. How can you be sure who is who? Are you one? I've been thinking that maybe we are all con men, maybe we are all enforced by just one con man. In shows, they talk about con men, label them when they are all the same. Excluding themselves to make them look and feel better. They judge everyone except themselves. We are all the same. It's all a matter of acceptance, right? Wrong. We may all be cons, but we all are not the same, or maybe we aren't cons at all. It is completely possible that there is no such thing as a con man or even a right or wrong. It is completely possible to not be a good or a bad. So, what about reality? If we aren't the cons, then who is? Reality? Reality can be the real con, the only con. Maybe what we think is reality, isn't even reality. This can all just be one big dream. Then, maybe then, we, us, the people, are not con men at all. We are just human bei

Imitation

The word imitation is derived from the Latin word imitari meaning learn. You don't normally think that you learn by imitation, because it's weird to think that. When someone says ¨imitation¨ you don't go straight to thinking, ¨learn.¨ According to scientists and psychologists, we learn by imitation. We essentially copy others to learn how to do, well, anything. This is how it's been for the longest time, dating back to the Renaissance. Astronomers built from Ptolemy's theories. Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, and Newton all improved the old theories. My dad tells me all the time that when I was a baby around 1 years old, I'd follow him everywhere. When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere . He says that if he got up from the bed and walked to the cabinet, opened it, then closed it,  I'd do the exact same thing; get up, walk to the cabinet, open it, then close it again. My younger siblings do that to me, well they did for about a month then they just
